Support coordinators using the Careseekers platform can refer all types of NDIS participants to find workers these include:
Self managed participants on the NDIS
What does it mean if a client is self managed?
Self managed participants have a high level of choice and control when it comes to their NDIS funding. They are able to manage their funding and pay for their supports directly. They can also use a number of different service providers (not only NDIS registered providers).
How does this affect payments?
If you have a client who is self managed they will probably be the ones to approve the invoices and they will also be the ones who pay the invoices themselves (as opposed to a third party or directly from the NDIS). They will pay either with credit card or via bank transfer. As soon as Careseekers receives the funds they will transfer them to the care worker within 1 business day.
Plan managed participants on the NDIS
What does it mean if a participant is plan managed?
When your participant's plan is plan managed by the NDIS it means they are using a NDIS registered plan manager to support them to manage the funding in their NDIS plan. The plan manager will be responsible for managing the participant's NDIS funding and paying for services they receive. Like self managed participants, plan managed participants can get services from a number of different service providers, not only those who are NDIS registered providers.
How does this affect payments?
If you refer a participant who is plan managed the invoices will be approved by your participant (or their nominated person). Once approved, the invoice will automatically be sent to the plan manager for payment. Please note payments from plan managers may take up to 14 days from when the invoice was approved. Careseekers will always pay invoices within 1 business day of receiving funds.
Agency managed participants on the NDIS
What does it mean if a participant is Agency Managed through the NDIS ?
When your participant's plan is managed by the NDIA (otherwise known as Agency-managed) they are only able to choose services from NDIS registered providers. Careseekers is an NDIS registered provider - Careseekers - The Provider.
How does this affect payments?
If you refer a participant who is agency managed, invoices will be paid by Careseekers The Provider. As soon as your invoices are approved by your participant or a nominated person Careseekers The Provider will claim the money directly from the NDIA. Once the NDIA provides the money to Careseekers, the worker will be paid.
