Yes. Careseekers workers go through checks and verification steps before they can offer support through the platform. This helps give clients greater confidence when reviewing worker profiles and choosing who to work with.
Our onboarding team reviews these checks before a worker is approved, helping you start with more confidence and peace of mind.
What checks workers complete
Before joining Careseekers, workers are asked to provide:
- photo ID
- police check certificate
- two professional references
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check, if they will be working with children
- any other relevant screening documents
Workers are also required to provide:
- 100 points of ID and proof of address
- an ABN
- a profile photo
These checks help create a safer and more transparent starting point for everyone.
Police checks
Workers are required to have a current police check.
That police check must have been obtained within the 12 months before registering on Careseekers. This helps make sure the information is recent and relevant.
References
References are an important part of the screening process.
Workers are required to provide two professional and current references, and those referees are contacted during onboarding. This gives another layer of reassurance when a worker joins the platform.
NDIS Worker Screening and Working With Children Check
Workers are also required to complete an NDIS Worker Screening Check.
If they will be supporting children, they also need a Working With Children Check. This helps make sure the screening reflects the type of support they will be providing.
What else you can see on a worker profile
Worker profiles are there to help you get a clearer picture before moving ahead.
Depending on the worker, you may be able to see:
- experience and background
- qualifications
- reviews from other clients
- badges showing optional training
- Working With Children Check if applicable
- first aid and CPR where available
That makes it easier to compare workers and choose someone who feels like the right fit.
Why this matters
Support is personal.
It matters who comes into your home, who helps with daily life, and who you trust to provide care. These checks are there to help make that choice feel safer, clearer and more informed from the start.
