Setting and Negotiating Rates

Workers’ rates are stated on their profile. Some workers may be willing to work within any budget constraints you may have. This is something you will need to discuss with the worker. 

Depending on what the worker will be doing, you may need to agree on transport costs for when they are driving you, or the person who needs supports. There may be other expenses associated with being out in the community to be discussed. It may be possible for you to get a companion card. 

When negotiating rates, remember there is a Careseekers admin fee of 10% (exc. GST) that will be charged to you and 10%* to the worker. 

Remember: All care and support workers must be paid through the Careseekers platform. If someone wants to be paid outside the platform please notify the Careseekers Team straight away. Care and support workers who are not paid through the platform are not covered by insurance and neither you or the worker will receive any admin support from the Careseekers Team and you will both be removed from the platform.
