We understand that emergency situations may arise where you have to cancel arrangements with your client close to the shift. In this circumstance, it is important to remember that Careseekers act as an intermediary between you and the client, with your contractual obligations residing with the person you support. As such, it is imperative that you notify your client or their emergency contact of any last minute shift cancellations.
If the client has a support coordinator, please ensure that they are also your first priority contact.
Should you be running late to a shift, please ensure that you also first and foremost notify the client, their support coordinator or their emergency contact directly.
Please note that Careseekers is not an agency and therefore cannot arrange replacement workers for last minute cancellations, as our dedicated concierge service normally require a 5-day turnaround to fill roles.
